Block Island
Block Island, Rhode Island, was a place he returned to for many years: its town and harbors, beaches, bluffs, ponds, homes and farms. Friends recalled painting beside him there, and his work was later shown on the island at the Jessie Edwards Gallery and the Block Island Historical Society.
